‘Britain’s Doha camp beneficial’
GREAT Britain’s artistic team members concluded their week-long joint training camp along with their Qatari counterparts in Doha last week.
“We were happy to host the Great Britain squad in Doha. The camp was of mutual benefit and had a good impact on our gymnasts as they trained with the world’s best,” Qatar Gymnastics Federation (QGF) President Ali Ahmed Al Hitmi told Doha Stadium Plus.
Sam Oldham, who won a bronze in men’s team all-around event at the 2012 London Olympics, and Dominick Cunningham, bronze medallist at the 2016 World Challenge Cup in Varna, Bulgaria, were the most known names of the British side.
The team, featuring 10 gymnasts and 11 coaches besides a number of administrators, also visited the ASPIRE Academy.
