Seitz speaks after winning bronze on uneven bars
DOHA: Comments from Germany’s Elisabeth Seitz after she won bronze on uneven bars in the women’s apparatus finals at Aspire Dome on Friday.
On winning bronze:
“I feel fantastic. It was my biggest dream to get a medal at the World Championships. I just have some medals from the European Championships and the World Cups. This medal was the one medal I always wanted to have.”
On her strategy for the final:
“I just did my routine like I did it in the training. I was extremely nervous, and I just wanted to do my best routine I have ever done. I think every gymnast wants to do that. It was a great routine, and at the end I was super happy about it.”
On if she expected to win a medal:
“It was always my biggest dream. At the (2016) Olympic Games I was fourth. Last year (2017 Worlds) I was fifth, so I hoped it could be enough for a medal. But I knew that all the gymnasts are great, so I just tried to concentrate on my routine.”
